Why Pantai Indah Kapuk becomes white collar crime? by Devi
Pantai Indah Kapuk is well-known for it’s beaches and popularity as a “dragon-head” for Chinese-descendant citizens. But unfortunately, all those luxurious, magnificent, high-priced homes might look useless, since there’s a critical case behind it.
The owner of the land which Pantai Indah Kapuk is on itself has been disputed for a long time. Because the government was too late to take any action, some developers took control of the land already, and building houses to sell.
The government persists that the land is owned by the government since it was unowned, but then since the buildings were already built on the land, the government can’t do anything about it. If this problem keep continuously occurs, then the loss of land area suitable for any loss of documents in the PPP fraction is about 1,000 Hectares, reaching Rp. 9 Trillion. This single problem inflicted Indonesian government by Rp. 9 Trillion (almost USD 1 Billion) financial loss.
In fact, the developers of Pantai Indah Kapuk have no permission to build on the land Pantai Indah Kapuk is on. They have no stable permission, and they really were allowed to build something on a little piece of land somewhere in Pantai Indah Kapuk, but then because the permission was nebulously unclear, so they arbitrarily built much more than they were supposed to build.
How to prevent white-collar crime?
An effort to prevent white-collar crime is the way society should be more sensitive to the peculiarity of a transaction. We must consider the circumstances existing government system and know the details of a transaction we will do to the other party. besides, the government also must be more rigorous in issuing laws so as not to allow white collar criminals to act. We have be more careful in choosing co-workers, so we know where revenues and expenditures as we enter into transactions. We should be suspicious of changes that occur in transactions that we do. That's how we can do to prevent white-collar crime.

Jalan Tol Sedyatmo is the only one way access to the airport Soekarno Hatta, Jakarta. In raining season there’s always happens flood in this way. So this matter really bad and hamper the only one access to airport. By Sumaryanto opinion, in Komisi VII DPR-RI meeting with Nabiel Makarim, already established that Amdal (Analisa Manajemen Dampak Lingkungan) Pantai Indah Kapuk violets the rules and that is the cause of the flood.
PT. Jasa Marga Tbk will coordinate more intensively with Pemprov DKI Jakarta to handle flood in Jalan tol Sedyatmo (the highway to the airport).
The red area in this map of DKI Jakarta means the flood areas.
Looks like we can’t do anything more than avoid flood by moved to another location in Jakarta for living. Even flood not really new or it isn’t like already more twenty years ago flood was happened in Jakarta, the disadvantages of flood can higher than last year. Because the effect of flood in Jakarta and place around it, approximately the financial loss already 5,2 million for last year.
